I have the same issue and cannot remove the system extension file (or its enclosing folder) because of permission issues.

It is located in the /Library/SystemExtension folder.

This extension is still crashing (potentially even causing kernel panics) and I still have not received any useful information on how to remove it.

I cannot delete it from the Finder or from Terminal due to permission issues and I'm not allowed to change the permissions.

How is this possible and is there a fix?

The McAfee Uninstall did not remove com.mcafee.CMF.networkextension.systemextension and I'm unable to do it manually. I get a message "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission."

But I need to remove it. It is not passive but seems to keep activating an unwanted VPN that stops my computer from connecting to my wifi network.

How can I get rid of it once and for all??

I have the same problem.

I've got message that my software is old and I've downloaded newer version, but is says I have to uninstall the previous old version.

I can't uninstall the file because I don't have uninstaller, can't delete it because of the permissions and I can't find out where I can download the uninstaller.

So now I don't have working antivirus.

Can someone help? Looks like no replies here.
