Hi,
I installed McAfee LiveSafe on my mac for the first time after performing the update to High Sierra.
I cannot perform updates - every attempt so far has failed (error message: "Error while installing updates!"). I have tried all suggested fixes from this thread (including uninstalling and reinstalling several times) without success.
I also noticed that the version I have (v. 3.8.1.2 (3397)) is still displaying McAfee's old shield logo (see screenshot), unlike what I have seen in the thread mentioned earlier. Is there a way to download an updated version? I can only download "McAfee-MacInstaller-3.3" from my account page.
Thanks for your help!

Please try McAfee update twice or re-install McAfee to get the latest version 4.13 and let us know the status

Hi Clement,
The issue is already known . You may try performing below step and see if it helps
1. Clear cache and cookies from safari (It will NOT remove browsing history or saved passwords in Safari)
2. Change McAfee Firewall type to Home or work

Hi Ganesh,
Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, I have already tried these steps and the issue remains.
Cheers
I just realized that McAfee 3.8 is not compatible with Mac OS High Sierra. The supported versions of McAfee for High Sierra is 3.9 or 4.1. See the article TS102733
For some reason the re-installation is not bringing the latest version. We would like to investigate this and will be contacting you by Private Message. Please reply to proceed further.
I have this same issue. As you said, supposedly 4.1 is supposed to work for High Sierra. But i cant find a place to download 4.1 anywhere.
Hi,
Any updates in this issue? Is there a way to download the correct installation package?
