i have checked settings and all seems correct. no settings changed by me in my opinion.
checked email spamfolder. no mails overthere aswell.
very strange but investigate it further on.

maybe in the backend of McAfee systems there is some hussling going on currently.

My MacBook has been hacked since McAfee stopped working. And it is still hacked. I don't know how to fix it. This is exactly why I paid for McAfee. You are correct. This is totally unacceptable. I want a refund and for McAfee to pay for me to get my computer fixed.

Thanks for responding! I was aware of the permissions issue and absolutely agree that this should be integrated into the McAfee install scripts, or worst case included in the instructions as you suggested.
This is what I was finally able to utilize once McAfee actually released a version of the firewall in late Q2 that was actually compatible with Big Sur! It took them almost as long to deliver that release as it does to create and deliver a human baby! 😡
My current issue is that the virus signatures no longer update on a Mac - it's a problem that they're aware of and have been "working on", but have no estimated resolution date. Isn't virus protection what we pay them to provide? SMH... 😥
