Constantly get McAfee Alerts

I have installed the McAfee AOL edition on my MacBook Pro and it seems to be working OK.  But keep getting this pop-up Alert dialog box every few minutes. It's driving me bonkers!.

"McAfee Multi-Access - Internet Security

Allow us to continue your setup

Click Allow in the Security & Privacy window to let us load your software."

There's an "OK" button which I click on.

At the same time my Mac's Security and Privacy dialog box opens, but there is no "Allow" to click on..  And it doesn't matter if the firewall is on or off.  How do I get rid of the McAfee Alert?
