Just freshly downloaded (from https://www.genymotion.com/download/) and - after McAfee LiveSafe file scan - installed Genymotion Desktop 3.2.1 on my just yesterday updated Windows 10 Home 2004 notebook. When starting right after installation LiveSafe (16.0 R32, SecurityCenter 19.2.174) ended and quarantined according to security history (10.06.2021, 05:13:02 German date and time) C:\Program Files\Genymobile\Genymotion\genymotion.exe for "Real Protect-EC!2FCD18FB06C7".
Interestingly LiveSafe says something different at Quarantined items: "nvAppTimestamps", "Real Protect-EC!2FCD18FB06C7", "10.06.2021 05:13", nothing under "Status", "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs", "Real Protect-EC!2FCD18FB06C7".
Both genymotion.exe as nvAppTimestamps are not in their respective Windows-path. What's going on there ???
Maybe firstly request a review of the detection
Please check the article share by @Peacekeeper on how to submit false positives. Also Please try excluding the .exe and all its related files on real time scan exceptions and check issue status.
Please check the article below that has information on how to exclude files
Thanks
How do I get genymotion.exe back from quarantine for sending at McAfee, when at quarantined items "nvAppTimestamps" is listed as the quarantined item of the incident as described above?
! way that is rather not use in case it is infected is disable real protection (ie disable the AV component) and restore it from quarantine area and zip it and send to McAfee. Re-enable the AV.
Other is grab it from whereever you got it from with AV off. Both touchy ways.
