For years I have watched McAfee Module Core Service use an inordinate amount of resources. Now on Windows 10 using LiveSafe, the issue continues. Over the years I have tried to identify the parts of the situation and am fairly certain that the relationship between the core service and a file called "DADATABASE" is important. I also began questioning what it is that I do with McAfee and have always known that I use QuickClean a lot, and I do mean A LOT. So, I ask myself, what if the core service is keeping track of all the times I run QuickClean--the time, the files removed, etc. Sort of a log that McAfee can use to tell me about all the wonderful things it has done. If so, then that database has to have become burdensome, especially for the core service, which probably is trying to sort through all that data and record all my continuing QuickClean activity. I know that if I re-install LiveSafe, the database gets a new lease on life and the problem largely disappears. For my part I might wish that the system engineers would call on the software engineers to add a function providing the cleaning without the logging. Any thoughts?
