Thanks and speaking of the situation, good morning to me...
Yep That popup is pure marketing group . They are a law unto themselves. That said the tactic must work to drive renewals otherwise they would not use it.
Probably but it is still a pain to have to close pop-ups constantly. Like I said before I would understand the ads if it was 'freeware' but if you pay for the subscription you should be able to turn it off. The only other option would be to use another antivirus and besides this I have been very happy with McAfee over the years.
They should reduce or stop once renewed. Unless the mods can make another suggestion that is all you can do other than change AV.
Hi @xboxerj,
We are sorry for the delayed response. Expiry notifications will appear on your computer screen when the product is actually expired or if the program is updated with an incorrect subscription under a different email address. Due to the nature of this issue, I will send you private message requesting your account details. Please respond to that message, so that we can check on our end and assist you further.
Thanks,
Karthikeyan J
Strange I never see these maybe as I have a trial version. I do not think if the setting is not affected in gear icon and general settings and alerts settings that you cannot stop these as they are marketing driven and they are a law unto themselves so I was told several years ago by a tech.
Click on Navigation link in the right side of the McAfee window and then click on General Settings and Alerts under Settings. Click on Informational Alerts and Protection Alerts categories here and choose which type of alert messages you don't want to see. Then click on McAfee and disable it's alerts.
Is it ok I've never seen this on my PC? As I understood many of you have such a problem with this ad.

Actually I have started seeing McAfee solicitation pop-ups again. I will try and screen shot when I see it next. I hadn't for some time and as far as my subscription it is valid until December so it is not related to having to re-up my McAfee yet. I thought we were done with this but I guess not.
