Stalled Update and Scheduled Scan Issue

Jump to solution

The OS is Windows 10 21H1 latest update.

Stalled Update

Selecting Settings>Update shows a greyed page with no “Last update:” or “Next update:” info and blocked access to the “Check Now” and “Settings” buttons, with the “Progress Icon” continuously active.

In other words, the update appears active but stalled. This a continuing state from startup.

Scheduled Scan Issue

Under Settings “Scheduled Scan” shows “on” but Selecting Settings> Scheduled Scan shows “Scheduled Scan: off” and clicking the “Turn on” button has no effect with the “Scheduled Your Scan” panel inaccessible.

Also opening LiveSafe has slowed down, these issues are fairly recent and most likely correspond the last successful LiveSafe app update and/or some w10 update.

How can these disturbing issues get resolved? Please help!
