Why is there a red dot on the top right of the McAfee icon on my Android phone.
I thought that red dots mean that something in the applicaion needs attention. However, when I open McAfee there does not appear to be anything that needs attention so how do I determine what requires attention.

Hi @PeterMack
We understand that you are getting a red dot from McAfee application. We would like to let you know that, it is a notification that you will get from McAfee, if you have to enable any features or notification regarding scan, etc. If you open McAfee on your device, you will see three lines at the top right. Once you tap on it you will see notifications, under that you will check what is the notification is all about.
If there is no notification and you still see the red dot, try to uninstall and reinstall the application, if the issue still persist kindly take a screenshot of it and send it to us. We will help you to resolve the issue. Also make sure your device and McAfee is up-to-date.
