when you removed LiveSafe , have you used the MCPR tool aswell before doing a new install ?
i myself have currently version 16.0R17.
if you have currently the same version number i have noticed that Anti-Spam is not installed by default anymore with this version number.
you can check if Anti-Spam is ' on ', go to the settings wheel ( right upper corner) and scroll down to see if Anti-Spam is ' on ' or ' off '.......
maybe this helps you to solve the question..........
I uninstalled it again and run the MCPR (same version). However, I had to turn off the computer and restart. Reinstall LifeSafe, then anti-spam manually enabled. But the gray icons in Outlook still have not changed ...

sorry to hear that my suggestions have not solved your problem.
i am not using outlook currently but thunderbird. when the Anti-Spam plugin is installed for thunderbird i have to enable the plugin at first start up of thunderbird.
i do not know if this should be the same for outlook.
maybe the shortest way is to contact mcafee chat with your question to receive a solution ?......
Please let us know how many email profiles that you have configured on Outlook. Are you checking the email from the McAfee Anti-Spam folder or from the Inbox where it is grayed out?

I have checked all (4) mailboxes in the toolbar nothing changes when I select another mailbox
Could you please let us know the configuration type that you used for your email, IMAP/POP3 or MAPI ?

however, i myself have not a problem with Anti-Spam since i am using Thunderbird currently. that is working fine.
the threadstarter is AndreasDoe and this person has the problem with Outlook in Office365.
i am not certain if he has contacted McAfee chat in the meantime.......
@AndreasDoe do you have still the problem with Anti-Spam currently ?
if so, maybe you could let @sanjay know if you use as configuration email IMAP/POP3 or MAPI ?

Yes, I have contacted the support and today get the info that is to be solved for the 14th Februray with the update the problem.
