McAfee LiveSafe system file causing system crashes when restarting laptop since Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

A few days ago, Windows Update installed the Fall Creators Update on my Dell XPS 13 laptop (Windows 10 Home 64-bit).

Since then, I have been experiencing Windows crashes when I restart my computer. Dell SupportAssist tells me that the crashes are caused by a McAfee system file, namely the one stored on my computer at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfewfpk.sys. The bug code is 0x0000003B

In one case, the system crash was so fatal that a factory reset was unavoidable. The subsequent crashes were less serious but nevertheless "critical events" according to Windows logs.

If this issue is not solved, I will have to delete McAfee LiveSafe from my system.

Thanks for any relevant advice on beforehand.
