My McAfee had been working with almost no issue until this happens.
Basically, I click on manual update (something I do, while I got a little bit of time, despite having autoupdate on). Then, this message appears. It says, word for word
Error while installing updates!
I have followed advise given in posts years ago including the followings:
1. Clearing Safari Cache and Data
2. Making sure there are no other firewall apps
3. Setting Firewall preference in McAFee to Home and Work
4. Restarting the computer
5. Deleting and Reinstalling McAFee
None of the above has any effect in resolving the issue.
If anyone has any other methods that may help resolve this issue that would be great.

We have followed the instructions set out on that page, all of them and are still experiencing the issue. Please let us know how to proceed?
So here is a little update regarding the situation.
Like another user have replied, following the link provided does not resolves the issue.
(For me at least)
Either for Step 1, the prompts and messages does not appear. Or for step 2 - 4, doing so does not resolves the issue.
I have contacted Tech Support (which is Step 5 provided by the link). The McAfee employee was pleasant to talk to, but nevertheless is not able to provide the solution on the spot.
The IMPORTANT thing is the following, the employee had referred the situation to the High Level Department. I had been told that I will receive either a call or an email from them when there is any news or update regarding this issue. (At this moment as I write this, I have not receive any news yet.)
