Recently, the firewall decided to block a website I like to use that isn't malicious (I know it's the Livesafe app because when I uninstalled it to test, the site I am able to connect to the site again). So I followed the instructions to change firewall settings and get this. My question is how do I even edit the settings? The window that shows up to edit is too small and some parts aren't even shown in the window and I have no way to resize this window. This also seems to be the case for other things in the app too that has a popup window (like realtime scan, the schedule scans, Antispam, etc).

A couple of thoughts. Is it firewall or web advisor blocking it. Does it have a popup yellow or red when it blocks if so that is web advisor. Re if it is the firewall try disabling the firewall and connecting. If it connects go to firewall settings and disable netguard.
Alternatively if you know the website's IP add it as an exclusion to netguard.
Of course this assumes you fix the small window issue. I assume the issue was there both before you uninstalled McAfee and after reinstalling was it?
If only after last install ie the window issue uninstall again via both windows removal path and running the mcpr program (Removal tool)
Ok before uninstalling download and run the MVT diagnostic program it can fix some issues.
