Hi,
i have been trying to install the newest mcafee internet security, but after a few hours its still not working!
McAfee Installer says: Can't proceed beacause there are problems with internet connection or mcafee downloadserver.
Computer: HP Pavilion dv9700 (x32)
computer’s operating system: windows 7 ultimate, Service Pack
computer connected to internet: Wireless, protected WPA2-personal
antivirus software installed on the computer: I had McAfee, it is passed for 2 days now

Kinldy try the below steps before installation and let us know if you still encounter any issues.
Click on Start – click on Start search
In the open space type : Run and hit enter
In this open prompt type : drivers and hit enter
Among these folders search for folder that says : “etc”
From here right click on Hosts and select open with
Choose Notepad to open the file
Make sure that the last line of the host file is 127.0.0.1 and anything below that could be edited and save the host file accordingly
Run the McAfee removal tool from here : http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe and restart the PC
Run the McPreinstall tool from here: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/McPreInstall.exe
Logon to your McAfee account page : http://us.mcafee.com/root/login.asp and redownload your software
Kindly keep us posted if you still face any difficulties with the same.
