hi,
i have a new acer aspire s7 that runs win 8 and came with a trial macafee. this has now expired and since i have att uverse, macafee is free. i cannot install macafee from the att steps. i also cannor uninstall it from the control panel.
tech support told me that the free att version would switch over once the free version expired. this is not the case. anyone know what to do?

you probably will need to run MCPR as well as the windows uninstall. If the windows uninstall does not work run MCPR it will clean up the old install.
reboot and run

and reinstall from your account.
The best version for win8 is 12.1 but I am unsure AT&T is supplying that version yet. There is a version 11.6 that is copmpatible but 12.1 has a more windows 8 look.
Agreed that is what I posted above. MCPR link is in the FAQ I posted
