mcafee inc.mferkdet

what is Mcafee inc.mferkdet?? and do i need to tell it to run?????

I found this in my Vista System Drivers   and is listed as a Manual Driver and is listed as Stopped.

all the other Mcafee Drivers listed in System Information are listed as Running

All I can tell you is what Google tells me:

Mferkdet.sys with description McAfee Code Analysis Driver is a driver file from company McAfee, Inc. belonging to product SYSCORE.

Leave it alone in that case.   I see it in my systems too.   It probably only runs when required to do so.
