The reason I want to talk to someone is that after purchasing a Mcafee download, marker moved about 1/8 of the way across the bar, then froze. I let it sit there for more than an hour before closing it.

Hello,
1.- What is your OS?
2.- Do you have another AV, Antimalware solution installed?
3.- Have you tried running MCPR (McAfee's Product Removal)? It's available to download under "Useful Links" at the top of this page.
4.- Clean your cookies, temp files and history by using McAfee PreInstall Tool http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/McPreInstall.exe
5.- Try to download again your product from your account.
BTW If you decide to run both applications you must do it one at a time because MCPR asks you to reboot.
Tell me if you need further support.

Thanks a lot. That took care of it. When downloading, the marker got to exactly the place it had "stalled" before and I though "Oh, blast- it's going to fail again" but then it suddenly started up again and finished fairly quickly!
