Worth switching from Kaspersky to McAfee?

I've had Kaspersky for about ten years. My newest version expires in 5 days. I usually buy one of the product keys in the boxes from one of the major chains EXCEPT now I can't even find one. You type in Kaspersky at Best Buy, at The Source, or Walmart and nothing pops up. Staples still lists it on its website but it's listed as sold out.

I've heard the stories about Russian hacking but while I've been looking through here for step-by-step instructions what I mostly find is people complaining about McAfee and going back to Kaspersky.

Is it worth switching or should I keep looking for a Kaspersky product key? And if it's worth switching are there step by step instructions? When I was at Best Buy the guy mentioned removing one before installing the other.
