I noticed that McAfee gets a lot of hate by different people but I don't understand why. I used to have Kaspersky, but then I switched to McAfee and it immediately found two threats. My main question is why is McAfee so hated? https://mobdro.bio/
Hi @c1arlos2

Most of the hate is totally unwarranted. It's mainly from trolls as well as from people who generally complain about most other things in life. Some people are never happy. The current McAfee has excellent protection scores in independent tests. I have some dislikes though -
1. the current interface / GUI is the worse I have known in more that 20 years of reviewing or using McAfee products. It's as is it's been designed by people who have no practical sense of how users need to interact with the product.
2. too many pop ups for marketing. I'm a paid user, I don't need my security suite trying to sell me stuff.
So, a couple of annoyances, but it's not hate.
On other PCs and laptops I use Norton, Sophos, Comodo, Malwarebtes and Windows Defender. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Currently McAfee is doing the best job in protection and it has no impact on my machines, so I prefer it to the others.
