Tracker Remover and History.

Hello everyone.

I made a big mistake yesterday by giving permission to McAfee to delete trackers because it was associated with browser history. Is there any way to restore those history files other than system restore point because it is not working. I am really sad because there were a lot of things that I want.

Unfortunately you will not be able to retrieve the browsing history once if it is deleted.

The tracker remover has changed. It now deletes these:

• Browser cookies and trackers

• Browser history

• Temporary files

• Windows activity history

• Recycle Bin items


It did not delete browser history before. Is there a way to choose the items to delete and the items to keep?

am i correct that you are referring to the tracker function in mcafee version R107 ?

i have checked just and noticed that it does not have settings that allow us to change settings that are default at present.

best is to use the feedback option that is at bottem left side when opeing the mcafee app.

maybe they listen and it will come in later version perhaps ...................

There was a recent update and things changed slightly. Maybe I'll give them feedback. By the way, I think there never was a way to choose what was deleted and what wasn't. I just use(d) it to get rid of some cookies.

previous version R51 it was possible to go to settings and select what you would like to clean.

if i am not mistaken you could also select browser and it was possible to make shedule time to  start.

at default it was 2 weeks if i remember correct.

i have no longer R51 but i found this article;

with current settings in the new version it will probably cause less problems deleting files
