Total Protection Installer different for Laptop then PC can't chose custom Install

I do want to not install the custom feature/s McAfee firewall. It creates problems with some programs. If I do not find how to disable the McAfee firewall (and rehabilitate the Microsoft firewall), I will have no choice but to change Antivirus (and at least a dozen colleagues with me). 😞

I do not use parental controls,  web protection (too many warning for good site that i go to),  vulnerability scanner.   I know antivirus plus and other versions of mcafee have less. When i bought this the cost was less. I have been using total protection for about 5 year, so why switch.  When mcafee puts out a major update it usually causes issues with my mcfee panel gui. I have written here before on those issues.  The latest major update, was causing the status of the firewall down in the overall network view when it seemed to work just fine.  and was indicating that in the management console.  To be safe i wanted to do a new install, which i have done in the past.  That is when i found the new installer.

Alternatively, at least one method to remove the McAfee firewall and restore the Microsoft firewall may be enough for me!

You will be contacted by a tech soon.  He should be able to assist you in the custom install question. The new installer does not have the option and that might be a mistake but we are getting that checked up on. He will set you up with am old installer possibly.

I did follow you. I was able to get things working by doing a Windows system restore. I am sure though that i will have to do a full install in the future. I would like to have the capability to do a custom install.
