Shredding Wastebasket contents

I seek assistance.

I set up shredder to shred the contents of the waste basket and pressed Shred. It then asked me if I wanted to shred the recycle bin folder and its contents. I said No and quickly deactivated shredder. If it deletes the Wastebasket Folder I would have no wastebasket and lots of problems!!

When I click on empty wastebasket does it only shred the contents? Surely that was the intention.

I am on Windows 7.

Yes, it does remove only the content of the Recycle Bin (what ever is put inside) and NOT the Recycle Bin...

  • Eligibility: McAfee® Identity Monitoring Service Essentials is available within active McAfee Total Protection and McAfee LiveSafe subscriptions with identity monitoring for up to 10 unique emails. Phone number monitoring is enabled upon activation of Automatic Renewal. Not all identity monitoring elements are available in all countries. See Product Terms of Service for more information.
