on mcafee security centre i turn on real time scanning and then it just turns off and when i try scanning it starts then it says
''An unexpected problem occured during your scan.
Please click Ok and go back to the Home page, and then try running your scan again.''
I done that multiple times and it still wouldnt scan and i tried ending mcafee and turning it back on and it still wouldnt work.
Using windows 7 and latest version of mcafee.

its fine i hope someone from mcafee will come and help both of us out
Well, I did a second system restore to an earlier date and now McAfee is fine. I'm doing a full scan now, prior to the issue McAffee found a trojan. Hopefully I don't have any other problems not detected by the scan.

Are either of you using Registry Cleaners? This sort of thing is often the result.
Probably your next best bet is to completely uninstall, run the MCPR removal tool (also in Useful Links above), reboot and reinstall from your online account.
After doing a System Restore please immediately run an update by right-clicking nthe taskbar icon and selecting "Check for Updates".
