I tried to add Quickclean, but the process did not go through. Any suggestions?

You're having some problems, I see. This and the MVT problem seem to have a connection - failing to connect to a McAfee server. If you've got McAfee installed I suggest you try for a manual DAT update and see what happens. If an update is due but it fails to download, you should run a McAfee scan - in Windows, or in Safe Mode - in case you have a PC infection that's blocking your access to certain sites (including McAfee). If you have Malwarebytes run that as well, to catch anything that McAfee might miss. You can get Malwarebytes free from here if you don't have it already.

You could also try to open Mcafee.then in the right hand corner click navigation.Then on the left side click features.There should be a box you can check that says quick clean.Try to download from there.

Were your McAfee programs preinstalled with the computer ? Did you install it through a cd ?
Click on Navigation and then click About in security center and let us know Aff-id from the options.
