It's normal for updates to be necessary to any time-sensitive software such as anti-virus after a System Restore, but it shouldn't be repeating itself.
Make sure your system is totally up to date in all aspects, including any part you may not use such as Internet Explorer for instance. The software uses that in the background.
Also make sure that your system clock is accurate both time and time zone-wise.
