I have the same problem with this member and I don't see it's fixed!!!!
Please help or I need to buy another one Anti virus program!
Some more info would be nice
I assume you do not have a version number available as it does not open?
How did you install the program?
Did you have another AV installed previously if so you needed to uninstall it correctly using its own removal tool.
Then uninstall Mcafee via
reboot and run
and reinstall from your account.
Ok before this run the MVT (virtual tech program and post the session ID
If all this no good and the suggestions in the other thread did not help call support and see if they can assist.
I installed McAfee last year and it worked proberly untill an virus blocked me going to the Internet and McAfee couldn't fix it. So I try to install Norton from my friend's CD and the problem was fixed, I could go to the internet. However, that Norton was only a trial version and was out of date after 30 days of trial. Then I reinstall McAfee again and now it doesn't work. Even though the installation is completed and I can see the icon on the desktop but the scan cannot be processed for no reason. I click and click on the icon but in vain, there's nothing supposed to appear on the screen.
I run McAfee technician, the problem was found and wasn't solved
Virus scan: McAfee Total Protection 15.0.302
Problem: Service not running
Session ID: 42874899
Did you uninstall norton first by its own removal tool? I suspect that is what is blocking mcafee ie bits of norton in the registry.
I am having a similar problem. I just updated about 2 weeks ago from Internet Security 2012 to Total Protection 2012. Quickclean stopped working, so yesterday, I reinstalled McAfee using the online version. Now when I double click, only a white box appears and nothing loads (just like my problem with Quickclean). I have run McAfee Virtual Technition and it says there are no problems (when I look at the diagnostics report it only shows Online Backup). The McAfee File Lock still works.
Ok how did you uninstall Internet security ? Was it only using the windows program removal tool or by this process?
reboot and run
and reinstall from your account
