McAfee start-up AdWare

So I'm running Total Protection, and yet McAfee has these desk top adware ads popping up on my desktop.  These are just fear ads, telling me that my memory is below 10% and McAfee has a cleaner to fix that.  I run live resource monitors.  My memory is fine...

I can't even go into my settings anymore  because they have been neutered.

For the most part, it's been a great product, but the fastest way to turn a great product in to garbage is by annoying your customer.  ESPECIALLY by becoming the bad guy you claim to protect your customer from.

so someone please kindly tell me where to go to resolve this, or start working on a corrective update please.

Re: McAfee start-up AdWare

Here, I apologize for such a delay in the response.  But there was a delay of a couple of weeks after the post that these ads started popping up again. Included are the screenshots as requested.  The links open up the official McAfee app for the associated "problem" it is portraying to solve, they do not direct to a web page so clearing out cookies are not going to keep this from happening.  I'm not seeing anything here that tells me this is a result of some 3rd party adware, as the notifications and link direction are all within the Total Protection app.

Re: McAfee start-up AdWare

I have started documenting McAfee's built in adware and have used their live assistance. They cannot get rid of it. Adware is now built into there software.... yes the software you pay for not not have this stuff is what is making it happen.

My reddit post about it is here. Here is what I was told when I showed the helper what the adware.

"I want to let you know that the issue is known to us and our Engineering team is working on fixing the issue. I will have the case escalated for now with no specific time frame. Once the issue is resolved, you will be getting a communication from them with the troubleshooting steps to be done."

This is not an "issue" this is McAfee being greedy and adding adware to try and get my products sold. Stop using McAfee and spread the word if you can.
