Re: McAfee Update Fails if Intrusion Detection is Turned On

Just wanted to report back that the issue with Intrusion Detection (turned on) blocking McAfee updates on Windows XP appears to have been resolved with the build levels below.  Will be conducting additional testing on other Window XP systems to confirm issue is resolved.

Security Center                                         Build 12.1.323

McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware     Build 16.1.172

McAfee Personal Firewall                       Build 13.1.132

Re: McAfee Update Fails if Intrusion Detection is Turned On

Karthik,

I checked and both of my Windows XP machines now work with the Intrusion Protection set to Basic.  Thanks to you, the Community and the McAfee engineers for making it happen.  I appreciate McAfee's continuous efforts to advance the ball to make computing a safer place, even if there are minor and temporary setbacks like this.
