It;s a new feature so I would disable it for now and contact Technical Support as previously suggested.
Just wanted to report back that log files are being reviewed by tier 2 support.

Just completed my third engagement with tier 2 support. They collected additional information and will be submitting a bug report to the product team.

I also had the same problem with Windows Xp so I unchecked intrusion detection and It fixed my siteadvisor and the mcafee update hang time.
