McAfee Antivirus Plus problems.

Hello, I'm having heavy difficulties to use my McAfee Antivirus Plus copy.

Whenever a pop-up window appears, when I'm asked to perform an action, such as to confirm a program for quarantine, I click on the corresponding button and the action wouldn't perform, and if I click on the "X" at top right of the pop-up window, it wouldn't close. It's really frustrating. I even considered uninstalling but the installer wouldn't let me! once I confirm that I want to remove it from my computer, I keep pressing the button, but the window doesn't change and no further action is performed.

Any help would be appreciated.

My OS is Win XP SP3 32 bit.

Did you ever have another AV installed on your PC? If you did did you use its own removal tool to remove it?

If that does not help try removing Mcafee following This finally worked

First via add/remove them MCPR rebbot and run

http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/Mcpreinstall.exe

I assume also you have run a scan with some of these to check

MCPR.exe worked, after being asked for confirming codes 5 times it uninstalled McAfee AV correctly. I don't think I'm installing it again anytime soon though. Thanks anyway.
