I have McAfee Small Business Security installed on my system. On 8/17/2015, I started to receive a "Location Activity" Event Log warning saying "C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\CSP\1.6.1008.0\McCSPServiceHost.exe" activated a sensor. This appears to be a McAfee file. I've run Stinger and MalwareBytes on the system, but neither found any malware. So is this a legit file? If so, why are you tracking my location? And how can I stop the event log warning? See attachment for file details.

Yes this is a Legitimate file,as we have it running on the Consumer Version .

It's McAfee Cloud Services Platform.
I moved this to Consumer > General by the way, as there is no section dedicated to small business software yet that I can find.
And is there anything that I can do about the event log warning that started appearing?
Best contact Technical Support, accessible through the interface > Help
I could spend an hour looking around the "Help" and still not have a number to call. I've already looked. Help is generally worthless. Google often offers better help than OEM help. So is there a number to call?
What is the exact name of the McAfee product, so I can look it up.
Also post your location please.
By the way, you said event log alert, is that all it is or is it a popup alert?
Finally found a McAfee chat. They recommended doing a McAfee AV Update, which I probably already did, but did again anyway. The Microsoft Location Activity Log still gives a warning following the update and reboot. So the file is safe; it's confirmed McAfee file by you. (Detail of the file is on the original attachment.) In the Chat, they confirmed that McAfee does track location .... hmmmmmm. Attached the Chat log.
Interesting, thanks for posting that. I'm still a bit vague as to which is the best place to go for assistance with this product, i.e. Business vs Consumer Support.
I asked internally and no answer thus far.
So is this solved for now at least?
