Lates Viruscan no longer allows shutdown of PC on completion

The latest version no longer has a button to shutdown the PC on completion of a virus scan. Since it requires 4-5 hours for a complete scan on my machine, I usually scan overnight. Since I can no longer automatically shutdown, the PC stays idle for hours, making it more vulnerable to the net and adding to environment pollution. Shame on McAfee for removing that option.

Does McAfee care about the environment? Apparently not.

Does anyone have a solution?

McAfee is aware of this and working on the same. We will keep you posted once we get further updates on the same.

I posted an answer to this a week back

Pause during scan returning next release and shutdown at scan end if no detection probably end of next month
