Issue with Antivirus Plus 2013 activation

Hi, I bought McAfee Antivirus Plus 2013 3 User software and installed on my Windows 7 Home Premium. After the installation and during the activate step, I am getting a message "Please wait while we connecto to McAfee.com" and never completes. I tried to cancel and reinstalled the software but still the same. Can someone help me on this?  I ran the setup as an admin.

Tried uninstalling the product completely as per some suggestions in this discussion forum, still no luck

Best to let customer service guys look into this. Probably the server was down when you tried but there could have been other causes.
