Installation of Total Protection freezes at 33%

Hi,

I saw an offer on the McAfee UK site for Total Protection and as my Internet Security subscription was due for renewal, decided to change. Having gone through the purchase process I clicked on the download link in the email and ran the install software, but it stops at 33% everytime I run it.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong here. I tried installing in safe mode, but it needs a Network connection. I also still have Internet Security Installed and am loathe to remove it whilst connected just in case the install still fails and I left without Anti-virus.

I did download the software again, but this time the file that was downloaded was less that a third of the size of the original one.I haven't tried installing this as yet.

Many Thanks

DC

In order to properly Download and Install your (New) Software. You must remove your existing Software that has expired first from your Control Panel/Programs and Features/Restart. Then  follow up with the MCPR

tool to remove any remnants.

Then of course go to your account and follow instructions.
