How to turn McAfee VPN "OFF" permanently ?

Since the latest update on renewal of McAfee Total Protection

- the VPN keeps turning "ON" automatically. 

I do NOT want VPN turned "ON" as I am then unable to use my Work VPN (that and other worksites get blocked and rejected because of McAfee VPN). 

I have to continually go to McAfee and turn OFF the VPN setting - which seems to somehow turn ON again automatically !!  

If this continues I will be uninstalling McAfee and requesting a refund !

Hi @cafaas 

Please open the settings from the VPN and select "I will do it myself" and check if issue persists. Also remove the VPN services from the startup menu. Update us with the outcome.

Thanks for the fix.  I missed seeing there was a next lower setting setting  -  "I will do it myself"

The issue arose after an update which turned this option On, without notice. 

Would have saved some time if a "What's New" page came up instead, to notify of the changes.

I cannot see the "I will do it myself" option in the VPN settings, how do I access them?

The VPN will not stay off for me even with this checked. I turn it off, it turns back on. I set to "do it myself" and still reconnects. Im not even on wifi.
