How to read the signatures file date and time once it is downloaded to the computer ?

Hi,

I'm triyng to read (with the script) the time and date of the update signature file on windows and Mac OS. So I want to know the name of the signature file once it is downloaded to the computer and the directory where it is loaded on.

You can't in the Consumer product but if you are using Enterprise I'm not sure and will move this topic accordingly if that's the case, so could you indicate what product name you are using please?

You can get limited information in the home antivirus product by locating the DAT file in Windows once it is installed but I would need to know what operating system this is in order to tell you where to find it.

By the way I changed your login name so that the email address is now hidden for your security.

If you using VSE then the update files will be avvclean.dat, avvnames.dat, avvscan.dat.

The location of these files will be \Program files\Common files\McAfee\Engine.
