I'm one of those that will modify the registry.  If you want to, I just solved my issue by removing anti-theft from the Registry.  Make a backup of the registry before you start if you wish.

Run>regedit

Goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>Run

Scroll through until you see the key for McAfee's Anti-theft. Delete this key.

Upon reboot, the vault will no longer open.

EDIT:

The Key will have the same command line as in Aldrin's post.  Look at the JPG they posted, and the Key will have the same line.

I would like yo know also how to stop this annoying opening of my vaults when starting my computer. This is not right as I see no way of stopping this from happening in the help files in the vault. Why did McAfee start doing this rediculous feature when starting or restarting computer? There needs to be an option to stop this from happening.

Hi

Try to disable MAT program from the start-up

Start->Run->msconfig-> Remove the tick mark from the McAfee Anti theft program from the start-up.

Click on Apply and reboot the computer and check the status of the issue.
