I have a Windows 10 PC with Total Protection and for the last few days when I start my computer the Mcafee main window opens (the one that says home, pc security, identity, privacy, account). It's very annoying to always have to close the window so does anyone have any ideas? I tried contacting support and they were no help.

Ok Issue solved after reinstall.
Things never run smoothly for me! Got an update today to 16.0 R7 - the good news is I don't get the McAfee screen on booting any more, the bad new is I DO get a nag screen from Windows telling me my windows firewall is off! My first thought was to tell windows notifications to ignore it, but I can't as its blocked because "McAfee has control" Anyone know of a fix?
Gave up trying to fix it and uninstalled/reinstalled McAfee. That's done the trick.

While I have not experienced this happening, one of my Colleagues has and brought this up as a Topic of Discussion Monday on our Conference call. Could you specifically let us know what Version/Build you are running?
Either myself or One of my Colleagues will report back what was determined by the Senior Level Engineers.

i came here to ask the exact same question, first i thought may it had always happened then never noticed, but after convincing myself this was unusual to restart and pop up every time. I am a member of Windows Insider Programme, so at first thought it may have had something to do with that also...

I also have this issue. I thought it was due to the Windows 10 Fall Update as it started on my laptop on the same day as that update, but my desktop has also had the same update and is fine. I have Total Protection with the same version on both machines. It is the same version as ultrasuperman's above, save that my Security Center Affid is 1289 and I also have:
