Are you having an issue? This document from McAfee will assist you in with any virus or malware issues you may be experiencing.

You could also try running the McAfee Stinger scan which is included in the document to get another opinion.

Please remember there is no security software offered by any vendor that I know of that can prevent 100 percent of any virus, malware, or adware from ever infecting anyones computer because hackers are constantly trying to beat the system. It could originate from overseas or it could be your next door neighbor.

McAfee now comes packaged with adware built in.

Hello.

I have started documenting McAfee's built in adware and have used their live assistance. They cannot get rid of it. Adware is now built into there software.... yes the software you pay for not not have this stuff is what is making it happen.

My reddit post about it is here. Here is what I was told when I showed the helper what the adware.

"I want to let you know that the issue is known to us and our Engineering team is working on fixing the issue. I will have the case escalated for now with no specific time frame. Once the issue is resolved, you will be getting a communication from them with the troubleshooting steps to be done."

This is not an "issue" this is McAfee being greedy and adding adware to try and get my products sold. Stop using McAfee and spread the word if you can.
