Can't say I'm impressed with Mcafee total protection.

First time using McAfee, and first issue was that it is not compatible with Amazon fire tablets. So I have one device which requires me to purchase a different security system for that. Secondly when trying to set up secure browsing it ants me to use a VPN system. I have a VPN system which I pay a subscription to which provides fast servers. However Mc Afee will not let me use this VPN system stating that I should be using their slower servers, (which I  see in posts are giving people issues.) Finally every day I am getting numerous pointless notifications. Previous security software ran in the background and only notified you if there was an issue, so I shall not be renewing. Does anyone know how I can have McAfee safe browsing using my own VPN system?
