Re: Back to old Interface

Jump to solution

Actually I am running the same Version/Build and 2 days ago I was reverted back to the old also. However today I was upgraded again back to the new one.

That interface will be changed when you update to v16.x which should happen soon***

***Except for anyone using Consumer Beta Total Protection software which will remain at v15.1 until further notice as the programme is temporarily suspended.

I think the user Interface is completely separate from the product version. I have the latest 16.X and still have the boring green UI. I have encountered the blue UI when I previously had McAfee Internet Security for Unlimited devices, and the program had "McAfee© Internet Security" in its shortcut name.

Yes, the product also makes a difference but they all will change eventually.

Also, I noticed McAfee has changed its logo. I wonder how long until its products will also reflect the logo change. Probably their developers have been told to design new user interfaces with it. This could probably be an explanation for the delayed UI rollout.

Yep, many changes, and I believe, staff shake-ups as McAfee once again gains its semi-independence.

Re: Back to old Interface

I'm still on the old interface.  And for the last couple of days, I've been having trouble with Internet Explorer.  Some web pages aren't loading, all I get is a white page.   I'm not losing internet connection like I did during the winter (and had to reboot to knock it back into place) so it's not as bad.   On Firefox, the pages to fill out, but then they'll go grey and I'll get the "internet connection lost" warning, but after a few seconds it comes back.

I did hit the default on the Firewall settings.  Didn't help.  If I hit the refresh button a few times, then the page might fill out.

Sometimes, instead of a total white page (I.E.)  I'll get some text - with a lot of white space in between - and some links.  Sort of looks like what web pages looked like 25 years ago.  Very, very basic.

On June 6, three days before I was switched back to the old interface, I did renew my McAfee subscription.  For whatever that's worth.
