Over the last few weeks my computer crashed and on 3 of those occassions the errors pointed to McAfee drivers (mfehidk.sys and mpfp.sys). The reports from WhoCrashed specific to those BSoDs is as follows:

I looked through some technical forums to find out it anyone has a solution to this and several sites have mentioned an issue at list with the mfehidk.sys driver as an incompatibility between McAfee and vpn software and/or DAEMON tools. I have neither on this computer. I am running windows XP Professional SP3. I ran McAfee Technician and it found no errors. I have McAfee Security Center version 9.15. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response, Can you confirm if the issues still persist. If yes, then please clarify

If you made any recent changes to the system (Computer- Software or hardware)?
Let me know the McAfee version installed in your system?
Did you have any other security software installed in the computer?
How do you connect to the internet (DSL, cable..)?
