Hi,
I am unable to login to skype, due to personal firewall setting, earlier it worked fyn, i updated the new verison of skype it is unable to connect
please help me to sort it out asap
You may need to reauthorise permissions for it since it updated.
Open SecurityCenter by double-clicking the taskbar icon
Click Web and Email Protection to expand
Click Firewall
Click Internet Connections for Programs
Click 'Program' at the top to rearrange them alphabetically
Locate Skype (or look for 'Client to make VOIP Calls' and make sure it has full permission and use the Edit button if necessary to make the change.
If that doesn't help I suggest you phone Technical Support, it is a free call and you'll find that linked under Useful Links at the top of this page.

Where did you learn that? I suggest calling Technical Support, again if necessary, and open a case. It's free and linked under Useful Links at the top of the page.
if that feature of their web site worked i would but when you clcik on email under support nothing happens and i am not willing to wait by computer for half an hour for live chat. as for where i heard that read your own forum
You can phone them during normal business hours and it's free. This is the page for your area: http://service.mcafee.com/ServiceSelect.aspx?lc=1053&sg=TS&pt=1&st=PHONE
Email support is the slowest possible way of achieving anything.

i am in Sweden so not called America and i was not interested in speed just some asistance.
There is telephone support in Sweden on that link, I realise where you are and wouldn't expect you to call the USA.
At least, for me this worked perfectly and the explanations were clear and easy !
Skype was on "Block" and the reason for that I don't care as I'm not interested in blaming, rather in solving.
Thanks ex_brit.
