I see you have deleted all of my posts. It must hurt knowing that your customer service advice - uninstall and reinstall
it is not really getting to the root of the problem.
I also note that it's been over 24hours since I gave McAfee my contact details and you have not called, great customer service - not.
Your posts are in another thread I believe... https://community.mcafee.com/message/225246#225246
I had the same issue. finally ended up uninstalling mcafee restart then redownloaded the program and that issue is fixed. but i do have another problem going on with internet explorer and google chrome not connecting to internet after the install. but i will be making a seprate discussion for that. but try reinstalling that shoulkd fix that problem of firewall not turning on.
if you look at my post, which is on another thread!
Mine is a brand new install which was downloaded from McAfee.
The firewall just doesn't turn on and I fail to see why I should install this program every 20-30days..
ahve You tryed disabling windows firewall, and than enabling mcaffe's?
Martyng you are being assisted by Dinz in another thread as I've already stated. Please stay with that one thread otherwise everyone gets their wires crossed.

I wouldn't say I'm being assisted!
No wonder McAfee can't get to the root of the problem when you have so many threads all about the same subject!
If you grouped them all together, over poor soles with the same issues could see all the answers.
My firewall still turns off and McAfee seem clueless as to why.
Didn't Dinz contact you in that other thread? That's where you should be posting to be fair to the original poster in this thread. I can send him a message and nudge him if necessary. I know there are several threads on similar problems, that is inevitable. We can't bunch them all together unfortunately, the board format doesn't allow it. I think you'll find that the firewall turning off is more likely to be a false alarm caused by a fault in the way Microsoft's own Security Center reacts with McAfee..
Thread moved to Personal Firewall.

While no antivirus is complete. I do expect some action on Mcafee's part to at least address the issue for future versions.
I can even find the problem file, however Mcafee cannot detect or remove it. What are we paying our subscription for?
c:\windows\system64\consrv.dll
When will Mcafee have a response for this threat so that we can restore the firewall.
See the following thread for further details...

http://vil.nai.com/vil/submit-sample.aspx
when they reply reply back saying what you feel is the issue with the file if they do not detect anything.
Give it say 4 days and if you have not a reply PM me and I will nudge them.
