The 2012 version it worked perfectly!
QUESTUION: How do I download Total Protection 2012 SETUP? Because 2013 too many errors
THANKS!
I don't understand "Firewall access list not working" can you clarify please?
Was McAfee newly installed in Windows 8 or upgraded from a previous version?
Is this the retail or beta version of the software?
If you upgraded from 2012 then best to uninstall in the normal way, then download MCPR cleanup from Useful Links at the top of this page, reboot and reinstall from the online account.
Also try the McAfee Virtual Technician and see it works
McAfee Virtual Technician : http://mvt.mcafee.com
Two SETUP, same problem!
1st: yesterday buy windows8 pro RETAIL. fresh install. 1st McAfee setup
- Settings:
Traffic Controller: Stealth
Smart Advice and Advanced Settings: Ask me decice
Blocked program (example): Total Commander
- Total Commander still use Internet (sample ftp.freebsd.org)
- When new program access internet, i do not choice: trust or not trust
2nd: old windows xp setup, today uninstall TP 2012, run MCPR.exe, install TP 2013
same problem
MVT SAY: NO PROBLEM!
Sorry I'm not familiar with Total Commander but if you highlight it in picture #3 above and then click Edit you will be able to unblock it.
If you set your firewall to Stealth then many programmes will be blocked. Smart Access is the normal setting.
Technical Support is available directly by going here: http://service.mcafee.com/TechSupportHome.aspx?lc=1033&sg=TS
easier:
EACH PROGRAMS has enabled Internet access! I DO NOT CHANGE THIS
ALL OUTGOING TRAFFIC ENABLED! I DISABLED, but still access! (exmaple tc)
I wrote the technical support, wait for answer
But, not possible to download the old version (TP 2012)?
No that is not possible, sorry.
