Browsing the Internet at Starbucks

Good afternoon,

I was attempting to browse the Internet at Starbucks without success. According to AT&T technical support, because Starbucks' wireless network is wide open, it causes McAfee to block Internet Explorer from browsing. However, after turning off McAfee's firewall, I still was not able to browse. Does anyone in the forum(s) have any further information or tips on this dilemma? I use a Dell Inspiron 1150 running Microsoft XP.

Thank you!

Internet issue

Hi,

Please provide the information
What are the versions of McAfee which you have installed?
Did you try disabling all the McAfee products?

If it is not working after disabling, uninstall McAfee and check if the problem with McAfee or not.

RE: Internet issue

Did you try trusting the Starbucks network within Security Center/Manage Network?
