Cannot fully install my Online backup

I just recently tried to activate my online backup from the Total Protection main menu. It was part of my McAfee total protection, just that I never activated it.

Anyway, followed the instructions to download then accept the licenses etc.. then click next (see below)

Then it gets to where it gives you your license key and asks you to continue on with the registration process by clicking next (see below).

Then after clicking next I get this error message and suggests going to the link for more info, of course going to the link provides no clues of course. Any clues??

Hi Tom,

Sorry for the inconvenience in downloading your online back up programs,  Please provide me with the following information;

What is the computer’s operating system ? (win xp/7 ) (32or64bit)
How is the computer connected to Internet ? (wireless/dsl)
Are you installing the Mcafee programs through a cd setup or from the internet ?

Appreciate the reply Dinesh. I tried installing the next day and for whatever reason it installed fine.

Hi. I have a similar problem. Just installed and un-installed and reinstalled Total Protection 2010 but no option to use Online Backup is shown. There should be a tab named 'Data Protection and Online Backup, but all I see is 'Data Protection'. Been through the technical support process but has not been any help. I am running windows 7 so could this be a problem?

Hello,

Could you please run the McAfee removal tool from useful links at the top of this page and reinstall the suite.
Please do let me know whether the data Protection &online backup tab is visible / not after the reinstallation .

Yes, tried that twice already with no luck. McAfee say there is a problem with the server and try again in 2 - 3 weeks and then suddenly the option of 'Data Protection' will suddenly change to 'Data Protection and Online Backup'. Ok tell me another one? but I will give them there time and try again.
