x1.c.lencr.org

Jump to solution

A few days ago McAfee began block attempts to connect to x1.c.lencr.org and I continually receive a pop up that tells me an attempt was made.

I'm not sure how or why this has started, are you able to give me some insight. Also how would I be able to find the source of these attempts and remove it. I have done virus scans but nothing has been found.

I don't have any dispute or problem with the way McAfee is blocking the attempts from my computer to connect to lencr.

I'm just trying to understand what it is and how to remove it.

We are also seeing this.  Several people in my small company are getting these pop-ups regularly.  I assume it is identical to what was seen by the first user.

Looking into it, I think this is a false-positive, but can't be sure.

I've find this link

https://letsencrypt.org/docs/lencr.org/

but I don't know if it is true... In other webs they say that it is a malware 😞
