Re: No updates to Anti-Spam content

Everyone has something different, it seems, which is very strange.

My content version is 5843, Content Update 02/11/2016.

Re: No updates to Anti-Spam content

It is my understanding that the Content Date is when it was upgraded\installed. And the Content version is the (Daily) update which changes.

Re: No updates to Anti-Spam content

Pretty sure the date after Content update is the date the current Content version was downloaded. The Content version appears to be Anti-Spam's definitions file.

I noticed the date changed every day when I assume a new content version was downloaded. But this appears to have halted (for me at least) since the last update to the program.

It isn't a big deal for me, as I don't even use Anti-Spam, or any email programs other than web-based! And I'll be reinstalling my whole suite soon, which should remedy any issues! But from the replies in this thread, there does appear to be an issue here.......

Re: No updates to Anti-Spam content

I've found this entry and I'm asking myself whether there'S a new failure on this Anti-Spam-Module?

Since serveral weeks I noticed a lot of spam emails in my inbox and I thought, that this might be a new technique which isn't known by McAfee by now and teached those mails to be understood as SPAM...

But it doesn't get less... it becomes even worse!

So, I checked my Version and this is what is shown:

McAfee_Anti-Spam.jpg

I'm using Windows 10 Home and MS-Office-Prof-2013 Outlook.

Is there something wrong with the update of the spam definition file?

Re: No updates to Anti-Spam content

Thank you.

It shows that I'm missing 6 Patterns...? Right? Content: 6080 -> 6086

Even I'm manually updating, there's no change.

Should I write a ticket or is there anything I can do by myself?

Thx.

Re: No updates to Anti-Spam content

Try MVT and see if that fixes anything are the other programs up to date? Ie virusscan engine

MVT Virtual technician

If still an issue you could call support though they will have you uninstall reinstall i assume so probably better to do that yourself before calling.
