Identity protection

I have just purchased Mc Fee antivirus software and have received an email from McFee stating “Identity Protection, your information was stolen”. 
what are McFee doing to resolve the issue?

When it comes to breaches McAfee helps to monitor your personal information in the dark web to alert you pro-actively before intruders misuse your personal data. If you have received an alert from the McAfee about breach. Please ensure which email address got breached under which website and change the password of your account.

My new Computer  came with a McAfee Trial 

I operated the identity monitoring scan

and the results said that my email was in a breach at a basketball fan site LakerStats.com

I dislike all sports, have no interest in Basketball and have never  visited that site and certainly never created an account

your scan can't tell me which password was used but says i must change it

 

is the trial version of the software just generating (False) example entries to show what it would look like if i bought the software ?

if this is supposed to be genuine information  what does it mean and what am i supposed to do with it?
